Anyone wishing to become a member of the Dauntless Fire Company needs to fill out the appropriate application form and return it to the fire station. You can obtain an application from any member of the fire company or by visiting the fire station. Monday night is our weekly training and work night, so its and excellent time to stop by and see what it’s all about!
The Application Process
- Fill out the appropriate application form and return it to any member or the fire station. NOTE: Junior applicants must include working papers from the PA Department of Labor with their application. These can be obtained from your local school district.
- The application will be submitted to our membership committee for review. During the review process the membership committee will setup a face to face meeting with you in order to review any questions they have about your applications. This is also your time to get answers to any questions you might have about being a member. Junior applicants are required to be accompanied by a legal guardian to this meeting. Be advised that a criminal background check will be performed on Regular and 2nd Alarm applicants prior to this meeting.
- After the membership committee has completed their review of your applications it will be presented at a fire company meeting along with their recommendation. The members will then vote to accept or reject your application.
- You will be contacted after the meeting with the results of your application. If accepted an orientation meeting will be setup to you started on your journey.
