Rene Damin has been proudly serving the Dauntless Fire Company since 1971. Rene is a second-generation firefighter who is a life member, and followed in the foot steps of his father Dean. Rene is also joined in service by his son Nick.

Rene has been the Rescue Lieutenant since 1978 and the financial secretary since 1990.

Rene serves on various committees including: Pager Committee, Membership Committee (Chairman), Flower Committee, Banquet Committee (Chairman). Rene is instrumental in the annual fund drive, and other fund raising events. He was also a member of the committee to replace Rescue 22-4.

Rene is certified as Firefighter I. Additionally, he has training in Structural Burn, Hazardous Materials, E.V.O.C., Bus Rescue, Elevator Rescue, Engine Company Operations, Snorkel Operations, Ropes, and S.C.B.A.

Rene is a long time businessman in Ebensburg, and brings strong business practices to the fire company.
