
Jeff Evans has been proudly serving the Ebensburg community since 1989. Jeff is a second generation firefighter following in the footsteps of his father Glenn.
Before becoming involved with the fire service, Jeff became an accomplished SCUBA diver. His diving credentials include dive master, master diver,rescue diver, assistant instructor, and many spercialty certifications including mixed gas diving. Jeff spent many days diving in the coastal waters off the east coast from New Jersey to Key West. He was involved with several Central Pennsylvaniadive rescue/recovery teams and acquired some light commercial diving experience. While working in the commercial side of diving, he trained and became profecient using a Kirby Morgan helmet with communications.
His fire training includes hazmat operations, company tactical operations, truck company operations, pump operations, rope and high angle training, vehicle rescue, elevator rescue, hise rise firefighting, S.C.B.A, structural firefighting, NIMS 100&700, and various officers classes.
Jeff has held officer positions as: Truck Captain, Assistant Chief, and Deputy Chief.
Jeff is the Director of Public Works for Ebensburg Borough. With his in depth knowledge of the water distribution system, he can keep the department informed of necessary information on hydrant flows, testing, and problems affecting water availalbe for emergencies.
Jeff is supported in his efforts by his wife Sharon, and future firefighters Chris, Ashley, and Scott.
